Get to know Family Physician Dr. Traci Masaki Tesoro, who serves patients in Honolulu, Hawaii.

A caring family physician, Dr. Tesoro sees patients at The Queen’s Health Care Centers – Kahala in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Conveniently located above Queen’s Island Urgent Care, The Queen’s Health Care Centers in Kahala brings patients high quality care with aloha. A wide range of services are provided, including: annual check-ups and physical exams, chronic disease management, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, immunizations and vaccinations for all ages, and women’s health exams.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Tesoro graduated with her medical degree from John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii in 2004. She then went on to perform her residency in family medicine at the University of Hawaii in 2007.

Subsequent to her education, she attained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

In order to stay up to date in her field, Dr. Tesoro remains an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Hawaii Academy of Family Physicians. She is also a Volunteer Physician at the Hawaii Home Project.

In Hawaii, she is affiliated with Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Honolulu, Straub Medical Center, and The Queens Medical Center.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Tesoro enjoys sports as well as spending time with family and friends.
